A kingdom is a territory ruled by a king where everything is provided, owned, influenced by him.

It is not ruled by a Prime Minister or a President. The king influences the territory by his action, character and lifestyle. In the kingdom, everything is owned by the king: the properties, buildings, cars, wealth, the land, everything! He even owns the people or his citizens. Therefore, since the king owns his citizens, he is responsible for their welfare. On the contrary, in the democratic form of government, the President does not provide for the welfare of his people. In fact, it is even the people that provide for the President through paying taxes.
The kingdom system is totally opposite of the democratic form of government. In the democratic form, the people vote in the President or the Prime Minister, therefore, the people own their leader. Whereas in the kingdom system, the king who chooses his people. In the kingdom, you cannot vote out the king unlike in the democratic system wherein when people are dissatisfied with the performance of the President or the Prime Minister, they can easily put him out of the position through impeachment.
In the same way, in the kingdom of God, you cannot choose the King for it is he who chooses you, as the bible states
“You did not choose me, but I chose you…”
John 15:16
In the Kingdom of God, everything is provided by the King and that includes the basic needs of the citizens. That is why Jesus said
“But seek ye first his kingdom and his righteousness,
and all these things will be given to you…”
Matthew 6:33
Hence, under the kingdom system, life on earth is not about struggles and not about working for your needs. It’s not about fighting for your life or about life’s survival. Life is supposed to be all about seeking the kingdom so you can find satisfaction in life. Yes, that is what life is supposed to be!
The truth is that life on earth must be centered on seeking the kingdom and God’s righteousness. This is what the true kingdom man is looking for. The kingdom is the only hope of man!
Man lost this kingdom when Adam fell into sin. For thousands of generations, man desperately sought religion in the hope of finding the kingdom but man ended up in frustration. This is because religion is not the real answer to man’s needs…it is the kingdom! When you find this kingdom, the search is over and you become a truly complete man. If you have the kingdom, you don’t have to go to heaven in order to enjoy life. In the bible, Jesus taught us to pray for the kingdom to come…
“Thy kingdom come, thy will be done…”
Matthew 6:10
Therefore if you have the kingdom, whatever is in heaven, you have it here also in this planet earth. Meaning, when the kingdom is on earth, that is already, “heaven on earth”. Everybody wants to go to heaven hoping to find fulfillment in life but Jesus had a totally different idea! Jesus did not teach us to go to heaven in order to enjoy life but he taught us to bring down this kingdom of heaven here on earth.
People all over the world are seeking for this kingdom, but the problem is that they do not know what they are truly seeking for. Seeking the kingdom is not an impossible task because when God asks you to seek something, it means he is ready to reveal it to you, that is, if you are determined to do it.
In these last days, this planet earth is facing destruction. One cause of destruction is by acts of nature: the thinning of the ozone layer, floods, earthquakes and climate change, to name a few. Another cause of destruction is
through acts made by humans: war using chemical and biological weapons, deforestation and many others. With all these, man is hopeless. But the only escape to this is the kingdom, because the kingdom cannot be destroyed. It supersedes all power, meaning, it is above all powers, both natural and supernatural. The kingdom is in full control of everything. It dominates all power. It supersedes all authorities. It has the final say of everything. As the bible says…
“Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and
awe.”
Hebrew 12:28
In order for you to have hope in these last days, seek this kingdom and enter into it. That’s the only hope you can have. This kingdom is not only for “insurance purposes” which means that we do not enter into this kingdom only to avoid destruction but to enjoy life as well because this was the original idea of God even before He created YOU. This was His biggest idea: the Kingdom! And so I encourage you to enter into this kingdom, by all means.
You don’t go to any country without expecting benefits or enjoyment. Before you go to a country, you study first what benefits you can get from it. No leader or President in any country would invite you to visit his country without offering something that is beneficial. And if he offers you something, it has to be something you don’t have. Otherwise, you don’t go to that country if you have it
already. In the same way, when Jesus threw that “kingdom invitation” to man, it means that the things we are seeking for are all in the kingdom. And truly, we can only find all that we are seeking for in that kingdom.
In man’s life, we seek many things when we really lost only one thing: the kingdom of God. Man used to have this kingdom before the fall, but when he sinned, he lost it. And when you lose the kingdom, you lose everything. Then you begin to seek this “everything” to all the wrong things. But when you find this one thing, that is, THE KINGDOM, then you find everything.
we seek many things when we really lost only one thing: the Kingdom of God.
You don’t have to seek many things anymore because when you find this one thing, you can have the “everything”. Jesus used the Parable of the Treasure in describing the kingdom. When you find the treasure, everything you need is met because of the great value of that treasure. So with this kingdom, when you find it, you find a great treasure with a great value. A great value that will meet all your needs.
After losing this kingdom, man began to feel empty, with no sense of purpose. Man lost his identity. Man lost his life. As a result, he tried to find fulfilment in life by seeking pleasure from vices, wealth, people etc., only to find out, he became more empty. But when you find this one thing, the kingdom, you do not only find the “everything”… BUT YOU ALSO FIND YOURSELF. You find your identity, your life, and most importantly, your King, your Creator. Therefore,
invest your time in seeking this kingdom.
